HCL-107
High Temperature Chain Lubricant
HCL-107 was developed as a unique high performance chain lubricant.
It is especially recommended where elevated temperatures are
experienced
and it solves the demands of severe operating conditions in high temperature
ovens.
HCL-107 lubricates and protects at temperatures exceeding 600°F
(315°C) without the varnish formation that is historic with other
high temperature chain oils. Any residue that might develop remains
soft and pliable and easily removed.
HCL-107 is manufactured from the highest quality synthetic and
napthenic
base oils. In addition, the product contains selected additives to obtain
rust prevention, oxidation stability and anti-wear. The lubricating
properties are excellent and the synergistic combination of additives
increase chain life and prevent chain wear and elongation.
Methods of Application:
Manual by brush, swab, drip, pour or spray. Mechanical and automatic
systems for drip, spray or mist are excellent. Although HCL-107 is a
synthetic lubricant formulated to function at sustained high temperatures,
it should be applied between 150°F (65°C) and 300°F (149°C).
This procedure will allow the proper flow and penetration of the lubricating
film between the chain links and pins. Due to its high performance,
it is not necessary to over-lubricate. Excessive use could be detrimental
and result in smoking.
