Cleaning
PEG2 is a direct replacement for petroleum and chlorinated solvents.
PEG2 is used as a rinsable spray, dip*, brush, or wipe solvent.
PEG2 Recommended Dilutions:
-
Heavy Soils - one part PEG2 : one part water
-
Mild Soils - one part PEG2 : five parts water
-
Light Soils - (for cleaning walls, floors,
cabinets, etc.)
one part PEG2 : ten parts water
* PEG2 does not combine with petroleum or vegetable based
oils, consequently when used as a dip solvent residue will
float to the top of the PEG2 where it is skimmed off. The
remaining PEG2 is then ready to use again.
For Best Results
The most effective and economical method to use PEG2 is as a
dip solvent. This will allow for the solvent to be reused several
times, saving money in both product costs and disposal costs.
It is recommended PEG2 is heated before cleaning.
** PEG2 works best when heated to 110oF.
Disposal
Dispose of PEG2 rags in approved waste containers.
Incompatibilities
PEG2 is not recommended for use on latex, buna N, neoprene,
polystyrene, and some plastics.
